Crescent Healthcare was founded in 1992 with a focus on providing alternate-site intravenous immune globulin (IVIG) therapy services. By 1995, Crescent Healthcare had incorporated skilled nursing services in order to provide comprehensive care to patients with chronic and acute disorders. In 1998, Crescent Healthcare purchased Apria Healthcare's home infusion operations in California. In 2004, private investment groups including Frontenac Masters VIII and MedEquity purchased controlling interest of Crescent Healthcare.
Crescent Healthcare has grown to encompass 11 pharmacies and 19 ambulatory treatment centers in California, Florida, and New Jersey and over 500 employees across the country. In 2010 Kelly McCrann joined Crescent Healthcare's Board of Directors and accepted the position of CEO in July 2011. Most recently serving as Chairman and CEO of XCorporeal, a medical device company specializing in portable hemo-dialysis devices, Mr. McCrann brings to Crescent Healthcare more than 20 years' experience in the healthcare industry. Together with Chairman of the Board Robert Funari, Mr. McCrann drives the company in developing innovative solutions that deliver healthcare reform at the local level.
